I was born on the 14/11/1948 in Mansfield Victoria my home town is Woods Point. My father was born in Cylon(Sri Lanka) mother was Italian and father English- my mother was English. They migrated to Australia in August of 1948.

We moved to Mansfield and I started my primary school time here. In the middle of the 1950s we moved to Melbourne. I finished my education at Nunawading High during which time I was the head prefect.

My first job was with AMP Insurance then into the building industry and eventually into the Food Additive sector working foe Hoechst, and Miles Laboratories. I was the Marketing Director ,covering South East Asia, Australia and New Zealand.

My wife and I decided to have a “bush change" and brought a property in Labertouche Gippsland (we became hobby farmers), we moved there in 1982.

Due to my work experience I was unable to get a job in my field of experience. We purchased a coffee shop. After 5 years we decided that we would try becoming “real farmers” and purchased a dairy farm in Willow Grove that we operated for some 9 years.

Due to the down turn in the industry I moved off the farm and my wife continued - l assisted on weekends and other days, in the early morning.

I first got a job as manager of Morwell Ten Pins then moved into a sales manager of Mobil GPG and then as the general manager leaving in 1996. I then took over the management of Pine Gro a composting company owned by APM and Yates . I left this in 2001 . And established my own business in the garden supply sector. This was closed and I decided to go back into an operation in community building . I became the manager of  Old Gippstown a heritage park owned by the State Government of Victoria.. I ran this from 2005 until 2012, when I had a dispute with the government on their lack of financial support.

I then created my current business, Fozigobble Cafe in Yarragon and have operated this with my wife ever since.

Having lived in the Monash Region for over 35 years, I’m passionate about bringing positive change for all of us
